Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2025 provisional merit list out with 10,901 candidates eligible for MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB courses in government and private medical colleges. Tamil Nadu’s NEET PG 2025 admission process has begun with 10,901 candidates declared eligible for various postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB. This includes both government and private medical colleges across the state. Only candidates scoring between 691 and 235 marks in the NEET PG exam have been included in the merit lists for government and management quotas.
The Directorate of Medical Education and Research in Tamil Nadu published the provisional merit list for round 1 counselling. The committee had earlier listed candidates deemed ineligible and provided them multiple chances to submit valid documents to claim reservation benefits. A total of 921 candidates were declared ineligible this time.
Special incentives were awarded to 570 in-service doctors based on their years of service. In addition, the grievance portal allowed candidates to raise objections until October 29, covering categories including government quota, management quota, NRI quota, minority quota, PwD quota, and service quota.
Breaking down the eligible candidates, the merit list shows 6,989 candidates qualify for government quota seats while 3,912 candidates are eligible under management quota. The qualifying NEET PG mark range to gain admission through the government quota is from 691 to 235. For the management quota, the qualifying marks range is slightly lower, between 681 and 235.
Various quotas also have representation: 674 candidates on the general merit list, 16 on the PwD merit list, 357 for the 20% Christian Medical College quota, 313 on the NRI quota, 207 under the Christian minority quota, 19 for the Malayalam minority quota, and 191 under the Telugu minority quota.
