How it works
Cabergoline is a dopamine antagonist. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (dopamine) which is responsible for the release of prolactin, a hormone that helps in breast milk production. This reduces the increased prolactin levels and stops breast milk production in case of stillbirth, abortion or miscarriage.
